So we enjoyed an awesome meal at armadillo in gatwick (shame about the service tho..) then enjoyed some expensive beverages in wetherspoons before heading to board the plane!
On the first flight to dubai it was 6hours. there was a VERY strange guy sitting the other side of the aisle to us who decided to eat all his meal with his fingers mixing them all together, a very strange combination of a tuna salad, a blackcurrant cheesecake and a lamb curry plus the cheese and crackers, you can only imagine..
Charlie had a bit of a funny moment and chucked water all over my feet :( they dried out eventually!!
Arrived at dubai at 7am to 30C hot hot hot! went in search of food, ended up with mcdonalds.. MEGA BIG MACS!! 4 slices of beef!! however, we just stuck the an orignary Mc Chicken Big Mac...
We then found a little place called The Hub. So naturally, as Brunelians we ventured in... only to be then chucked out again as we werent going to spend enough!!! Definately not the Hub we know and love at uni...
Next was the finally leg of our journey, Dubai-Durban. first off we nearly missed the boarding due to falling asleep on the floor just down from the gate, only by chance we woke up to check what the time was! no wierdos on this plane, a lot of crying babies tho! mainly slept on this flight, couldnt keep our eyes open! after 8hours, finally landed in Durban at 4.45pm (we're an hour ahead of you)!
so now we are near Sheffields Beach, Durban writing this, waiting for our nandos takeaway... original meal day for us today.. off to Kruger early in the morning! till next time..
